| Where is the moror coming from. Yamha doesn,t currently have anything that big in the ATV lineup. Typically they take the motor out of the grizzly. | |

| Not happening Heath, trust me, the last thing a company that is currently fighting lawsuits claiming their product is unsafe is going to do is up the performance. | |

| I would love to see Yamaha come out with a more competitive machine, but I agree with Stakk. They have spent a fortune settling and fighting lawsuits so I really don't see it happening. In a very small way, I hope they don't bring a twin out just so I don't have to trade up for at least a couple of years. | |

| So far its only cost them what a hundred millon or two? with free doors and grab bars spacers and swaybar removal for every unit ever sold and all the cash to the injured and lawyers. Yamaha just needs to kill the rhino and build something with a new name and this lawsuit fest would end. | |

| OK, here is some info with some truth to it. The document below is an official California document that manufacturers of all combustion engine vehicles need to file for upcoming model years. It lists the Horsepower rating of the engine (in K/W ), and the emission certification for that motor. This is one Yamaha submitted in June 2009 for the 2010 Rhino. The model has the same model number as the 2008 & 2009 models. The 450 is the same also. There are no new models added, which means the 4 door is not there. What does this mean? It means that whatever Yamaha announces in Feb 2010 will be a 2011 model. The 2010 Rhinos will stay exactly the same and will be released without any special announcement. The 2010's will just show up on the web site at some point in the future. It also means that whatever Yamaha had planned to release in Feb 2009 as a 2010 model had been pulled back for significant changes. Before Yamaha sells any unit in California this information has to be released. Which means when the Motor/Model is submitted for the 2011 Rhino, the Yank will be on it. | |

Good idea. Then we can sic the sharks onto Polaris... Seriously, Polaris should be hopiing that Yamaha doesn't change and continues to "take the hit and carry the water" for the whole SxS industry... From the pics we're seeing here (and elsewhere) of RZR rollcages, for example, Polaris shouldn't be getting too cocky... | |
