Has anyone ever heard of somthing that I'm calling belt slap at hard acceleration it pulls hard until it gets to peak rpm and then it seems like it quits pulling and like the belt is slipping and slapping the case, am dreaming or can this be happening?

Limiter. That Belt can't slip at 40mph. Lots of tension at that rpm...

keep you stock cdi for a backup smith.
i had a black rhino performance cdi on mine and last ride it quite on me doing about 25-30. rhino just shut off and lost all spark. had power just no spark. after being on the bad end of a tow strap for a few miles and getting home, put the stock box back in and fired right up.
