| Very nice! Those are some beautiful woods.
While we are on the topic of up north........
Has anyone ridden any in upstate NY or the area closeby? Are there any good trails up that way?

| I am curious about possible places I might get stationed next. If given the choice, I want to come back to FT Campbell. If they will not let me, my next choice is going to be FT Carson, CO. I have thought about Alaska too. FT Drum, NY may be a possibility as well. | |

| There's quite a bit of riding up here in the NE, but it's bureaucratic as hell, when you're dealing with state forests and public property. Then you have to deal with all the tree hugger influence... Also, neither of your machines would be legal in National Forests because of their width -- and this is a NATIONWIDE restriction of 50" as best I can tell.
You would be almost required to join a club to get "insider info" in addition to their own private trails in NY. NY registratiion is reciprocal to VT, and I think PA also. Both MA and ME registrations are not reciprocal with anyone, and CT has NO PLACE to legally ride except at an MX part or something.
NH has great riding, though rough and rocky, much like parts of Windrock. They're very ATV and UTV friendly, and are in the process of widening the gates and bridges to support UTV access. They're also starting to link their trail systems, as best they can.
VT is all private trails maintained by clubs, but you get a "trail pass" and a map that lets you ride them all. They, too, are trying to connect some trails where they can.
Maine has literally thousands of miles of trails, mostly dirt and logging roads, but that's a long haul away...
Colorado would certainly offer more and better opportunities to ride...
