| If you find yourself changing wheel bearings which are recessed into the hub and you need a quick tool to press them in, grind the outer radius on one of your old bearings till it fits freely in the hub and use it as a bearing driver. Check this out and let me know what you think. http://www.mudandgutsoffroad.org/tips-and-tricks | |

Thanks Bro, Thanks all I hope this helps some one. I will be adding tips to that page as I think of them. I wish I had taken a few pictures of how the ground down bearing worked while I had the rear tore apart. | |

| Any tips on how to afford all these great mods and accessories you're adding to your Rhino? She-who-must-be-obeyed is threatening to take away my checkbook and credit card since I bought mine! | |

| FYI if you have never changed the bearings before On the Rhino(and several other Yamahas) the bearings have to be knocked out from opposite sides (which can be a pain) so you have to take a GOOD punch to slowly drive them out from the center of the hub. Reason being there is a stop in the center of the hub to place the bearings. | |

| When I bought my rhino about two weeks later I had to change out the wheel bearings all the way around. Not knowing what to expect in changing them. The first one was a pain in the ass! You know doing the punch thing trying to work them out. Well, I said to heck with that. I had some scrap pipe that would fit through the bearing and then welded it to the bearing and two whacks with the ol' persuader and they were out. Then installing them I used a socket like Mason suggested and my big bench vise and pressed them right in. What got me on trying to punch them out with the punch and hammer is trying not to damage that spacer that is in between the bearings. | |
