| I ordered some 4" HID lights...thanks to LT's link ... and now cant decide to mount on the bar across my hood or on the front bumper andyone have some insight on the pros/cons on these locations? Hood: Pro: Not as vurnerable as on the bumper Con: I think I remember someone saying a glare off the hood(not sure about mine since its camo and not shiny) Bumper: Pro: No glare Con: Very exposed/vurnable | |

| Of the two options I would go over the hood, when I held mine up to the front bumper the lights stuck out farther than the bumper did by a couple of inches. Not sure about you but I bump into things and sometimes trailblaze so that wasn't a good option for me. Mine may not be too pretty and it did require drilling holes but I love the location and they are fairly protected. Not the best pic but the only one I can find quickly LOL | |

| That looks good D.
Shawn, Clay was selling a cool light bar that went across the hood by the windshield. Big-R has that setup and I think it looks badass. Since you can fab stuff yourself. I would try to copy that. I have mine on my bumper and have not had any issues. Either one would be okay I think. You ride alot of water though so the higher the better I would say. Good luck pal, and post some pics!

| Here is another sacrifice to bumper mounting. Every thing I have read says for the best light coverage the two should be positioned as far apart as possible. I didn't get and hood glare with the ones I had mounted directly to the hood. | |

| Shawn, I would mount them on the bar. The higher you get your lights the further your light will shine. Also, then stay a lot cleaner up high. The problem with glare is when the lights are on top of a windshield. You will not notice and glare on the hood. I really like my set up. | |

Nope, it is a KC bar. They are very pricey if you ask me. If you know how to fab and bend metal it would not be hard to make.
