2010 S Rear Axle Problem

This is probably the same issue as "S Pulling Hard to Right" thread. But we rode the farm today with about 2 to 3 inches of snow. I was all over the place when on the gas. This went on for about 3 miles before I heard a clicking in the rear. My new riding buddy behind us said that only the left tire is spinning in the snow. We looked and the right rear axle was out of the trasfer case. My unit is a 2010 with 26 hours on it. I lifted off the ground after Wind Rock in November to adjust springs, rode our property some since, about 5 miles, and the farm across the road for an hour last weekend. No problems. I do not jump it. Any suggestions of why, after that much riding, would it come out?

Supposedly Polaris fixed the problem. You are the first 2010 that I have heard have problems.

There was an issue with the C Clip groove not being machined enough or something like that. It was a problem with early 09's but was supposed to be corrected. Back to the dealer. Have him tell you what is up and give us an update.

There has also been issues with the c-clip itself. Being too round or something like that.

that sucks . i have close to 500 miles on mine and no troube. build date sep 19 2009 i have jumped and give mine hell. hope the dealer gets you back going soon

no issues with the 010, just a fluke, see the dealer, it might have not been seated good from the factory. They only push in and the ring locks them, but to remove you just jerk them out.

I was thinking maybe it just wan't in from the get go. But all of the Wind Rock and other riding, you would have thought it would have happend before. I will raise it again and tug a little and see if it pulls out, and try the others. I can wait too. I have an extended warrenty. I'll let you know.

it could be a bad cir clip, the clip is only a couple of bucks and you can replace it in a few minutes, its easy and sometimes worth not leaving at the dealer for weeks for them to do to just do it yourself. If you want to try it, pm me and i can walk you thru it. 20 minute job.

any update?

Had the same thing happen this Saturday, but it was the left rear axle that pulled free. I'll see what the stealership says about it today.

Pissed? no way, just people that poke should expect a poke back. Its all in fun, at least on my end, cause i know at the end of the day my rzr beats what else is out there for what i do with it.

Sorry for no update. Internet has been down, off and on, for the last week. I did not ride again to see if comes out again. Worked on wiring HID's, train horn and the property this weekend. Big ride with a group planned for this Saturday at the farm or maybe an new place we are checking out.

Dealer could find nothing wrong with mine. I am gonna ride it some when I get it back. I am hoping that your issue and my issue were simply poor attention to detail on the assembly line.

Ride'in tomorrow. We'll see!
