| I'd like the Tri-Fire CDI, assuming it will work on a 450. I think they're exactly the same...
It should fit in one of those flat rate boxes from the post office, if you'd consider doing that...

... They are the same. You will only see about a 1 MPH increase in top speed, but will have better cold starts and no reverse limiter. And a brother-in-law switch to govern the machine to about 25MPH if you want to.

They are the same. You will only see about a 1 MPH increase in top speed, but will have better cold starts and no reverse limiter. And a brother-in-law switch to govern the machine to about 25MPH if you want to. Thanks! That's what I thought -- that the rev limit on the stock CDIs is different, but that's all. Aftermarket ones move the rev limit so high that my heavy 450 with heavy wheels/tires likely wouldn't hit it unless on perfectly flat ground or a downhill run. With a CDI, I know that I have no "artificial limits" -- that it'll do all that it will do... Wouldn't pay retail for the slight increase, but I understand the TriFire is the best one out there, and at this price it's attractive. I'm mostly looking for getting rid of the rev limit in reverse. The reverse, when stock, is a bit disappointing because of the gearing and the rev limit.
