| anyone else read the big long thread over at rf.net about the rhino knockoff's? I actually find them to be very interesting and quite possibly a great alternative for people that do not have 10K to blow on a toy.......what do you guys think? | |

I agree Marty, if you don't spend 30k on long-travel and custom paint you don't count. There is some good info there but the attitudes leave a lot to be deisierd. |

| Not bad for 5795.00. It would be intresting to get a dealer to bring one to a ride and check it out. |

| You can become a dealer. Dealers only pay $4500.00 for one. Check out the pics on the bottom of the web site. Many of the parts are the same as the Rhino's. Look real close at the rear Drive, parking brake lever,etc... The motor is different though. They say it is a 660, but the bore and stroke dont add up to that. It adds up to about a 500cc displacement. | |

| It's worth checking out for sure but my experience with the Chinese made stuff aint too good right now. I bought 2 for my kids and had a very bad deal with one of them. Carb came apart and throttle stuck wide open. | |

| The only problem would be getting parts if it breaks. I have a friend that bought a knock off 4wheeler for his kid. I was a 90cc bike he paid $1000 for it and it sits in his garage because he cant get parts for it. Broken sprocket (cheep metal) Broken rear shock (backorderd for 8 months now) and broken throttle cable. It my seem easy to get into but you have to make sure you can get parts for it. Buyer be ware. | |

| Brought this up again because they finally banned the asshole who was bashing everyone in the thread, that this thread was talking about. Here is the new news on ole Max. Brian B should have bounced him months ago. http://www.rhinoforums.net/showthread.php?t=14906 | |

| I know some car manufactures license their designs to other countries car manufactures. I wonder if Yamaha has done this to the rhino with a China company. They use the same plans but don't have to use the same material's. So they look alike but don't have the same quality. But if parts off the Rhino fit when you break something just replace it with a quality part. It will be more expensive in the long run if you break a lot of parts. But initial cost will be lower, thus sucking someone into their product. | |

| The story I heard is the company that is making the Rhino knock offs such as Scorpion are a company that makes alot of the Rhino parts for Yamaha. Not really sure if it is true or not. It would be really nice if you knew someone who had one so you had first hand knoweledge. I heard dealers pay less than 5K for one. | |

http://www.rhinoforums.net/showthread.php?t=14906 I never saw a post by him that didnt include somekind of shit stirring or bashing.....but that does limit the entertainment factor with him gone. There is always another asshole out there to take his place though. | |
