| my bighorns 26x9x12 in the front......and 26x11x12 in the rear....mine are mounted on ITP SS-112 12" rims..........but be sure to get the side splash guards from maier......as the wider tires will THROW SOME MUD if you dont have any side protection.....but i like the wider tires....as you can get a wider footprint(in crawling rocks)........ | |

| IMO having wider rear tires has a couple of advantages that out way the weight and mud slinging in the cab, of course thats easily fixed with flaps or flairs. Stability first and muddin second. Having that extra width, in mud, puts you in a lil different part of the rut and helps a lot in mud, and dry wash outs. Just my .02. | |

| IMO, if you're going to be riding rough, rocky trails the 12" wheels work better than the 14" ones. The smaller wheel and taller sidewall gives you an extra inch of sidewall to flex, such as absorbing the impact of rocks, without the risk of pinching the sidewall against the wheel...
14" looks cool, and may be a bit lighter weight, but IMO, the 12" is the "tougher" setup. Just my 2 cents...

| 12" rim 25" tall. The Bighorns measure tall so why loose more power by going to 26". I would have gotten 24" if they offered them... | |

| 25-10-12 all around on my rhino, i figure its easier to bring one rim and tire then to try to guess which tire is going to go bad on my ride. | |

| I have been running the 14 inch wheels for over a 1000 miles now with zero pinches... But of course I am not running ITP tires........lol
I do agree the 12's are a better option for rock crawling and really rough trails. The 14's excel in the smoother trails and higher speeds....my .02

| Yep the 14's will handle the high speed trails better, but hit one stray rock the wrong way and with less rubber and air volume in the tire to absorb the shock..............more chance of split and poof! | |

| Just to let you know Maxxis does not offer the bighorn in a 26x11x12 unless you buy a 2.0. I have only been able to find 26x12x12. I just ordered up a set of 26x9x12 for all four corners mounted on black diablo 4+3 wheels. | |

Want to see what they look like? Thats exactly what I have on mine. Need 1" spacers on the rear to make your tracks even. Will put you out to about 56 1/2". 9" on the rear work great.

Might need them, because of the fronts more than the rears. Here's 26" x 12" rears on IPT 5+2 offset with the Yamaha 2" spacers. The fronts are 26" x 9" with 1" spacers to make the track the same width, front and rear. I'm running Maier flares, though...

Thanks! Then I don't think you'll have a problem with the rears. You want to put splashguards on for the front though. Your front tires will stick out 1" more on each side than with stock wheels (stock is a 1" offset). You could easilsy make them, or buy the Maier ones. I think Airborne made a set and posted pics...
