Street tires on oem yamaha rims

Has anyone put street tires on factory rims? Got some charity rides coming up and they have been held on asphalt roads and last time i had original maxxis on the 05, so that was my excuse after the ride to get the after market rims and tires. since i shelled out the big $ i am not in a hurry to burn the knobs off my bighorns.

Got my never rode on SE rims and maxxis and the scrooge does not want to burn them up either. looking at a third set of rims to put some street tires on.

I have never done it, but I did contemplate getting a set of truck tires at one time and trying it.... Just never followed through..

Which I am also running 14 inch rims... I guess the Motogrips I am running now could be considered street tires since they are a radial...

You will have a hard time finding any street tires to fit on 12" rims, you should be able to find some to fit 14" rims at any tire store.

I am not sure how long the ride will be but you might be surprised at how well Bighorns do on pavement, they are a very hard compound and hold up very well.

Here is the street tire of choice for alot of UTV folks. 195/75/14 BFG All-Terrain. It is a 27" 8 ply tire. Does pretty well off road too.

i have a set of the gbc streetforce tires and i really like them. I havent been able to do alot of riding with them but are very smooth riding thus far.
