Beefing up my 09 700 Empty
PostSubject: Beefing up my 09 700   Beefing up my 09 700 EmptySat Feb 20, 2010 8:43 pm

Guys and Gals, do you recommend that I beef up my 09 rhino 700? I have 26 inch Bighorns mounted on douglas diablos that will be delivered Monday and my concern comes with the extra rolling mass. Would the trail logic frame and diff gussets be needed? I have read where the 09's have been made a bit stouter than the 660's. What is everyones opinion?

The front and rear frame braces would not be a bad idea, IMO. The diif mounts??? I'd say nah..........

A little extra protection can never hurt and preventative maintenance is worth while IMO. I dont have the frame supports but do have the rear diff support. That was a weak point on earlier Rhinos and i addressed it. Never a loose bolt on my diff with the diff support. allright

You do not need anything but an Unleashed dunners clutch kit. It just gives you that extra boost you have been looking for. Enjoy.

trail logic will sell the gussets and supports in a package for a great price so it wouldnt hurt to have the extra mounting point

I feel that you do not need it with a 700. I have been riding my 08 700 hard for 2500 miles and she is fine. Now the 660 would be a different story. But I can assure you adding the gussets will not hurt anything either......

I like to use finesse when I ride. We all know that finesse doesn't work all the time and you need to use the skinny pedal. I have never been in the market of abusing my junk but times due call for throttle. I am most likely going to add the front/rear skids and the rear diff support. I have already installed the rhinogear floorboard protection. Thanks for all the feedback all....This forum is GREAT! Off the topic but where do you guys get the cool animated Rhino with your pic in it?? That is so cool!
