| Greg,
Host the pic somewhere, I use Tiny pic, Photobucket, ect. Copy and paste the URL in the reply box. I'm not a lot of help, sorry, just know how to do it. | |

I borrowed this from another board (Nathan UORC). This is a great explanation of how to up load pics. Image shack has change the look of their up load page but it still works the same. - Nathan wrote:
[br]most members here are members on many forums that utilize .php scripting. this particular forum however, is scripted in active server pages (.asp) and therefore some things like linking are more similar to .html links. here is a brief tutorial explaining how to accomplish certain tasks:
posting an image: in order to embed an image into a message it first needs to be hosted on a web server. i recommend http://imageshack.us as their service has proven reliable over the last few years and the interface is quite simple. in addition, they have options to automatically resize the image to 640 pixels wide which is the maxiumum allowable size on this forum to prevent text scrolling for folks how dont have large monitors.
go to http://imageshack.us click "browse" to find the picture that you want to embed in a message. if your image is wider than 640 pixels click the "resize image" checkbox select 640x480 in the dropdown box click "host it"
when the image is uploaded the web page will return many different options. look for "direct link to image" that should be at the very bottom of the page. copy that link, you will need to embed it in image tags in the message body.
above is an example of what the link should look like when properly embedded in image tags, and the result is shown below:
here is a picture of my yamaha rhino:
http://imageshack.com also gives you the simple option of resizing images that are already hosted elsewhere but are larger than our 640 pixel width restriction. the only difference is you would select "url" from the top row of buttons, enter the current url to the image, resize it to 640x480, and select "host image". from there it will generate the same "direct link to image" as shown above in the first image, and you would embed it the same way.
descriptive links: when linking someone you can post the url, or you can post a descriptive link. for example, suppose you asked me for the link to the FAQ of this site. i have several options that i will explain here.
option #1 i can post the direct link: http://p7talk.com/forum/faq.asp option #2 i can post a descriptive link such as: [url="http://p7talk.com/forum/faq.asp"]CLICK HERE[/url] for the FAQ.
both methods take you to the same place. if you prefer to use the descriptive link you simply insert the link into url tags such as shown below:
image links: you can also use images to serve as a link. for example:
[url="http://p7talk.com"][/url] if you click the link above it will take you to my P7 forum.
to utilize image linking you will first need to have your image hosted on a web server (see earlier sections of this page). once you have a direct link to the image you want to use you must embed that direct link inside url tags such as shown below.
email links: by simply typing the email address such as you@youremail.com the forum software will automatically make it a link. however, if you would like to use a descriptive email link (such as [url="mailto:you@youremail.com"]Email Me[/url] you would use the following code:
