Did you go with the OD sliders? What do you think of them? Tell me a little about the performance.

Did you go with the OD sliders? What do you think of them? Tell me a little about the performance. well i live in a neighborhood where a few people get there pantys in a wad if your making too much noise, anyhow i put in the gold epi spring and 16 gram greaseless sliders, took it around the block last night,it would still hit 58 in the same distance as the machined sheave would, main difference quiet,no more grease, clutch will run cooler because you dont have to run the outer plate with the phillips head screws in it,no more roller flop at 43 where rpms drop off then climb again, just smoothe rpms to the top speed, but will not know how it is on hills untill we go back to w.v. also dont know about max top speed because i dont have enough room to wind it out where i live, last time we were in w.v. we wound them out on a long paved road and hit 63. anyhow going back the first week of may and i am tring to get everything ready ,will let you know the full report when we get back .

| Yep, give us an update when you get more trail miles on it. I guess you already had the machined sheave. I dont and have been thinking about the OD sliders. | |

ya already had the mach sheave, but did not like the roller flop, noise from the rollers, and having to deal with the grease when it got dirty,i think i am going to be happy with this set up,but may have to go with the 14 gram slidders if it dont climb good, but so far the cruising rpms are lower so not as much noise in the cab,so less wear on motor when your just riding the coal roads and trail ridding,if it pulls hills good i will leave it like it is.
