| Hey guys my grandpa gave me a practically new CB radio cause he got a different one for his rig, and that got me to thinking, anybody got one on the sxs? Ive seen a couple of antennas on a few but wondered if anybody had one on theres? Obviously its no good if your the only guy on the trail with one!! | |

| It would be great MB if everyone ran one. Most of us use the FRS radios (I think that's what they are called). | |

| On a given day out on the trail is there enough chatter goin on for it to be useful? Lord knows cell service is few and far between more often than not when were on the side of a mountain I could see use in a radio and i got this one for FREE!! | |

| I only hear usually Jeeps,as they run them alot. But I would talk to Big-R and get a FRS/GMRS radio, as thats what most of us run in this group. | |

| Where I am at and ride, CB is the way to go. No one runs the other radios around here. Jeeps sxs and atvs run Cb. | |

| I am looking at getting a FRS/GMRS radio, what is the typical distance you can pick up other riders? The garmin 530hc-2 looks neat because other people will pop up on your gps screen when they talk. Does anyone have this radio? | |

| It does not matter......you just have the crystal with the needed frequency installed. I have a Galaxy DX99 in the Peterbilt.....it has some where around 4,000 channels in it, along with AM, FM, Upper Side Band, Lower Side Band and a 10 kc slider. I'm sure that the needed frequency is in there some where  You'll need to know the frequency number, example: 27.185 is channel 19, that all of the guys are running. | |
