Rumor is that something may be out very soon. Seriously doubt it will be in the same league with this Can Am though.

Agree 110% If they're going to stay in this market that THEY CREATED, they must bring something out soon. We'll likely know in the next six months or so... NLT than February (their normal product announcement date). But, IMO, it will not likely have performance like that Rotax provides. They'll have to focus on "Safety First" to continue to fight these lingering lawsuits... Speed certainly won't be the priority. Hopefully, a V-twin, but that's about all you could expect them to do in their circumstances....

Just like Gillette used to give the razor away and make their money selling the razorblades, I'm guessing that BRP intentionally priced this first year's products to be VERY competitive, so they can (a) set the perception of "high demand" with limited quantities available, to sell all they can produce initially, and (b) get these things on the trail so more people can see them, and want them... Then, they start charging the premium price that they're known for... You gotta create the demand before you can charge for it...

| I have decided to stick to my ol reliable slow Rhino 700 for about another year and see if the Commander is going to stand up to use on the trails, because as much as we ride (1500 miles in a year) I need to know if it is gonna be a reliable machine before I go buy one. I want something that won't wear out after 1000 miles........I figure the Rhino will have probably 4500 miles after this year...probably 6500 when Yamaha releases their new SxS. | |

| You said it Marty, our machines are slow we might just need to get in the front of the pack on a ride and slow down all these Commanders wanting to run 70 on the trails....... | |

| i dont know how much i like the rear suspension. the lack of an a arm for that swing arm looks like it leaves the rear axles and boots open to alot... all i see is a little plastic gaurd will that be enough i guess time will tell.. look at the lifted one and you can see my point... but once again this is just one thing i dont like id say its a great machine | |
