No less than 4. 5- 5 1/2 would be my recommendation.

I have 5 3/4 cut out of mine and I am 5-11 with my boots on. It fits my nice. However, if I wear a helmet it is tight.

Clayboy has about the same cut out of his and he is 6-2. He fits but it is tight.

I am guessing 5" at most. Anyways, maybe someone else that is taller then me can give you better advice.

Here are my pics. We made a mistake when we went to take 6" out. We took 7 1/4". But I love the look as well as others who took less. I am 5'10" and have had no problems with clearance. I would suggest if you are over 6', stay around 51/2".

You guys do realize when you chop a cage you are making your ride more prone to roll right? I mean if it flips over on its side, a taller cage will work much more in your favor for KEEPING it on its side rather than continuing a barrel roll.

I agree they do. Nothing uglier than that big ole hoop on my prowler. Reminds me of a covered wagon.

It does look good . How much did you take out? Did you have to mess with the x-brace?

I chopped mine 4 1/2". And like it, but sometimes wish I would have done 5 1/2. I was worried about bumping my head.
