| On a ride out at the farm yesterday, my 450 Rhino started to back fire a little on a real steep down hill. At the bottom of the hill it stopped running. Would start only with the choke pulled and stop as soon as the choke was pushed in. 3/4 tank of gas. Pulled the fuel filter off and saw nothing in it. I could blow through the filter, both ways. Put the fuel filter back on, pulled the choke it started like a new one and ran like a top for the remainder of the day. What the hell is going on here??? Any idea's at all?? | |

| the back firing is surely a lean condition, could you have a small hole in a gas line somewhere and loosing vacuum somewhere? maybe check the butterfly on that carb. if it has a little carbon build up on the back side then that may be preventing it from closing all the way or for that matter opening all the way. My 660 had a similar problem and it was the carbon build up on the carb. Hope it helps good luck. | |

| Even though you could blow through the filter Phil, means nothing, like you'd think it would. Replace it, you'll be good. | |

| Mine has done it on a few occasions... I just replaced the filter after the ride and went on with no issues... | |

| When I had my Rhino, I had it vapor lock on me once. Might want to check your vent line coming from your tank. | |

| It also could be a partially stoped up main jet. But likely the fuel filter. | |
