| There was a black bear attack this weekend at River River Gorge. It is a National Forest, can't carry a weapon. Dumbass government. I would have lost my carry license because that bear would be dead and I would have been alive. | |

Ronnie , this is 1 mile from trail 75 at brimstone. I know of a few coal mines up there that would make a great den for ol buddy bear. Going to make those night rides up there a little more interesting.

| I work up a little area or place on an old stump, then i use a 40# bag of granulated trace mineral salt, then place a 50# block of trace mineral block. I placed an compressed block (i cant remember the name of the product there are alot in the market) bought it at tractor supply on this site as well. | |

However, the guy was taking pics of the bear this past weekend and it attacked him. Now they are looking for the bear like it is a "wanted killer". Will someone tell these idiots that it is a animal!!!!!!!! They will eat you if they are hungry!!!!!!

| Must've been that compressed block that caught his attention...
I've never heard of bears going after a salt lick, since they're omniverous, not herbivorous...

| Growing up, we never saw bear sign around the salt blocks. But, we had them try to break into the cribs where the corn and "sweet feed" were stored -- in addition to literally destroying the apple trees, berry patches, etc. | |

| I would never harm a bear if I saw one in my yard--Now my neighbors cat that sneaks up at night and walks on my car and truck thats another story, hell I'd leave any preditor alone if it eat cats, sure wouldn't be calling Billy the exterminator anytime soon if I had cat munching critters close by.. | |
