Gonna be trying some new tires. I have it narrowed down to the GBC Dirt Commanders, Grim Reapers or Spartacus. I really like the Terracross-like design of the Dirt Commanders. The only thing is I know GBC tires run short in height. Any recommendations?

Haven't had any of those.. But the Reapers look pretty mean in person. They also seem to run a little short from what I understand. If I wouldn't had just bought a new set of bighorns about a week before I got a seen some reapers I'd probably had tried a set of Reapers..
FWIW I've talked to a few people that love Pitbull tires. I couldn't get over the price and weight so I didn't give them much thought.

Yep -- get the GBC then. I'm a huge fan of smaller diameter tires. Easier on steering, better on power (less mass and smaller diameter = lower gearing ratio), easier on axles, and easier on tie rods. It's all win-win in my opinion. Bigger tires look cooler but that's about it. Ground Clearance difference of 1/2" to 1" really does not matter with a good set of skids.

I'd buy 24" BigHorn's for my Can-am and Rhino if they made them. Instant power increase and less maintenance. I LOVE IT!

thatsright

roamerr there has been several times when wish i had another inch, tire clearance that is. my bighorns (26) have come in handy in situations and at other times the big diameter has hurt my power.

I keep hearing good things about the Pitbull Rockers too. They are definitely the badest looking tire! I'm thinking about running 26.5x9-12 on all fours. seems to me if you aired them down a little for rock crawling they would be the best choice.

Aren't they quite a bit heavier than the normal atv tire?

I found the 26" Grim Reapers for 400, shipping included. Does anyone know of any place that can beat that price?

The reapers are great... My 26's measure big with 14psi but they are also on the 14" wheel...
