| wvYankee heres a question that allows you to update this thread. You still have an awesome set-up above.
Where did you buy your speaker boxes that you have U-bolted to the top roll bars from. Wheels' you can probably answer this also as I know you have pretty much the same setup also.
Late last week I bought a 120w amp at Auto Zone and got 2 pairs of Dynex 6.5" 2-way speakers on clearnance at Best Buy for $11.99 a pair. They are not waterproof or anything but figure I might get alllittle life out of them. I had bought some 6" pvc couplings and was going to mount the speakers in each end but the coupling pipe does not have thick enough walls and I can't find a short piece of regualr 6" pvc.
Thats the background on what I am trying to do. Let me know below where you bought them at or if you can post some blueprints an material lists. Hopefully I can get a stereo similiar to this together by this upcoming weekend.
Thanks, -Rick |

| WVyankee one more thing about your set-up to take this thread even more in depth! Did you just drill and bolt your Amp straight into the glove box plastic with self tapping screws or is there a metal backing plate for extra support? I am in the process of waiting for the speaker enclosures so thought I could go ahead an mount the amp an run the wires whereas all I have to do is some solder work. Anyways thanks for the advice and tips. Also I am guessing you drilled a hole in the back of the glove box an ran the wires out there. |

| Yea, drilled a hole and ran the wires out the back. Bolted the Amp to the top of the glovebox, and used oversize washers on the back side of the box. Very sturdy setup. Use lock nuts on the bolts. | |

| WVYankee did you use some kind of adapter piece to make the speaker fit right, notice a white thing in between speaker an box?
With the Dynex 6.5" Speakers they won't even fit all the way down inside box, and the holes won't line up. Wondering have you had any of these problems?
I may go ahead an wait though an put a pair of Bazookas in them? Just wondering would a 5 1\2 fit better than a 6 1\2?
Let me know if you did anything custom in this area.
Thanks, -Rick |

| Yea Rick, I used sticky back foam rubber because my speakers were too deep. Worked out good, although I cant tell you where to buy it. I had it laying around from some old packing materials. Really need some shallow speakers. But, you can make yours work. Just need to find the right stuff for a spacer, then mark and drill your holes where needed. | |
