Well we did not even make it off the trailers until we had 2 breakdowns. I thought it would be a long day. Big G's RZR had some electrical problems so he left it at home and rode shotgun with me. Rooster pulled the ole KQ off the trailer and lost all power. That turned out to be dirty battery connections. Got that fixed and up T22 we went.
We had 3 Wheelers and 4 SxS's with 2 new RZR-S. Rooster, SgtV, CanAmJosh with a rider, Bob, Smith700 and dad, Friends of Big G's, Big G and myself.
They have bulldozed T22 since our last ride 2 weeks ago which was a little disappointing but it made it really slick and muddy. From there we hit the gravel and over to T35 and T36. Going up the big hill on T36 Big G and I had a moderate pucker factor. It was really slick and I was spinning up it in 2wd when she caught and made a 90 degree turn into and partially up a bank. Big G grabbed the door so tight that he fixed the alignment problem. (No kidding)
From there we continued up T27 to T26 where we ate lunch. Going up T26 we hit T41 then ran gravel up to T19 where Rooster started to overheat. We set there for a little while then my Ranger would not start. The ignition switch itself is going out. When it finally started, I did not turn it off the remainder of the day.
From T19 we traveled down to T24 and showed the newbys the overlook. From there we went up T2 where SgtV had to leave to go celebrate his anniversary with his wife. We went up to T34 overlook to check it out.
From there we hit T16, back to T2 and back to the parking lot. We got ~40 miles in all. Great day and great company.
Thanks for Rooster and Smith700 for taking the lead at different times.
Left the trailhead and most of us met at the car wash so that we could unload clean.
Till next time, here are a few pix. Video to come.
