Hey Bro, just noticed that you are back over seas serving this wonderful country. I know there are a lot of guys on here (including me) who are very grateful for your service to our country. I am wondering if there is anything that you need or would like to have as I feel it is the least we could do to send you a care package once in a while. Might make your very tough job just a little easier and to let you know that we are thinking about you.

So if there is anything that might brighten your day or make your day a little easier, PLEASE send me a pm with your full address and we will make sure you get a care package. We can also through some stuff in there that you can share with some of your buddies that are also serving.

Many thanks! I appreciate the kind words, and trust me when I tell you.........anything people send is appreciated. We also have a policy about sharing the boxes we get. If there are things in there, we usually open the boxes in the TOC here and people just take what they want. Items very rarely go unused, and we also have the "Chappy's Country Store" (the chaplain's assistant runs it) that takes toiletry items, snacks, books, magazines, donated CDs, etc, and those are available to all the Soldiers in our battalion. Just so everyone knows, we are under General Order Number One, which states

1) No ALCOHOL
2) No pornography

As much as I would like to have a nice bourbon and Coke, please no one try to "do us a favor" and send prohibited items. They do scan the boxes and the Soldier receiving the box can get into serious trouble, even if they had no knowledge of the prohibited items.

Many thanks to all the folks in the states that appreciate the job that is being done over here. I know that there are many members here who probably donate to their local church for care packages and probably have loved ones overseas that they send things to. Trust me..........IT MATTERS to lots of folks! God bless you all, and be safe there in the states!!
