| Lots of rain mean lots of erosion. They get a lot of traffic too. Hopefully they will get them fixed up before October. | |

| My 2-cents is they need to seperate the Jeep/Big-buggy Trails and such to thier own area(s). They are tearing-up the place. The run-off from the larger vehicles will be an end to the place due to the huggers claiming silt build-up in the streambeds. Mark my words, it will end-up like Tellico. The first trail to the left, Smith knows the #, right before the bridge at the entrance. It has been demolished by the big-wheelers, it used to be a great UTV/ATV /bike trail, now a lot of it is swamp due to run-off and deep ruts. Damn shame.

| trees are down on alot of the most popular trails and i had to winch out of trail 16 i think they have had enough time to fix some of the trails since the storms.they was workers taking up money for passes and trail patrol making sure you paid but nobody with a chainsaw or a dozer | |

| I rode there today and had a blast. T16 is getting rough going towards T2. That rock is a doozy but Ron said that it would be fixed this week.
As far as the jeeps and such, they have been riding those trails for a long time. They usually stick to their trails and stay off the mostly ATV ridden trails. They do ride T22 and T2 a lot just to get to their trails though.

| Now you see why I like riding on the north-side, and the Sundquist land.............
But I will agree, the "Easy"..."Moderate" trails are getting more like "Difficult/Extreme".
Spud, You have to take in to account, that we have had one of the worse storms in the past 10yrs, so you can bet there is gonna be trees down on the trails, and wash-outs. Just follow me around....I carry a chain-saw every time I go.

Good point spud. They have enough trails there that they should keep the easy and moderate as they are rated.

| Trails are in need of some repairs. It has been very difficult to get anything done with all the Rain and Storms, Spring Jam, etc.......I am aware of the trail conditions on the property. I am out on the mountain everyday. I was down on T16 last Thursday to access the situation. I will have a solution in place for that in the next few weeks. Trail 22 (the first one to the left before crossing the bridge) has been worked from Top to Bottom. I just finished the Top Section above G23 last Friday. Trail 24 has also been worked and I am in the process of putting up new signs to keep the Larger 4x4 vehicles off that trail.
Trail 2, 22, 24 get the most attention on the property because they are the most popular trails. We try and keep after those. As you get farther towards the north side those trails do not get as much attention or chainsaw work. It is always advisable to carry a chainsaw in your group. With almost 300 miles of trails and two of us it is really hard to run every trail after every storm to look for down trees. We rely on reports from riders so that we can go immediately to the trouble spots. Trail 16 also has been worked from Trail 2 up to G10. That is the first two sections. That is all that I have been able to get to so far.
Anytime you see the Red Ranger out on the property the Chainsaw is in it and we do use it.
I appreciate all your comments about Trail Conditions and if you would like to address any particular Trail then feel free to send me PM or post it right here on this thread. When I took the position with Coal Creek in January, I started a Topic on the Windrock ATV Club's Forum and one on the East Tennessee ATV Riders for people to tell me about Trail Conditions and stuff that needed taken care of. It is hard for me to jump around on all the forums so I chose the two mentioned above. I will be glad to check in here from time to time to listen to you all. I have been around on the Southern RzR Riders forum.

Spud that is okay. I can feel your frustration. Yes there is only two of us for Trail Maintenance. We have other duties also, like Picking Up Trash, Keep the Parking Lot in Order, Bush Hog, Mowing at the Campground, Cutting Trees, Putting Up Signs and the list goes on. You guys now me, I am a Rider. I took this job for the Love of the Sport. Things will get better soon, we are just coming out of the winter season. During the Winter very little trail maintenance can be done. We cannot push snow and mud. The Winter Months is when the Larger Wheeled Vehicles come out more and play and with us not being able to work the trails during the Winter things get a little rough. It is drying up now, and after I get this weekends event finished I will be out on the Trails with the Dozer fixing these problems.

| You are correct Big-R. All you got to do is let me know. I need the info. Like I said, I cannot be everywhere on the mountain and depend on rider feedback. | |

| Just wanted to follow up with you all. The bad rutted section on Trail 16 has been fixed. Trail 16 is pretty much in good shape all the way out to Trail 18 climb out to G1. You know the section I am talking about. It is not that bad but I will be trying to make it a little safer next week. Next weeks activities will be on T11, 18 and 33. | |
