| Went on a ride with the Windrock ATV Club today at Royal Blue. Did some trails that I have not done in a while. Had a great time. Here is a video Low Resolution | |

Roosters ride report We left out of Ride Royal Blue Campground with 19 machines. Leaving the connector trail we turned and headed right up to the Top of the World. A stop for pictures and views we left out heading for Meadow Creek Falls. Leaving Meadow Creek Falls on Trail 14 we turned left on Trail 10. Turning onto Trail 7 and taking the Short Cut up the hill we ended up over on Flatwoods area for the next waterfall stop and lunch. That is when the trouble began. After lunch one of the RzR's in the group started cutting out. Jim came up and said he was having a fuel problem. I took it for a spin and realized he was probably having an electrical problem as the Machine was dying and the gauges were going dark. We could not figure things out. It would run for a few minutes then spit and sputter, shut off. Decided it was best for him to head back to the Trucks as we had a long ways to go. PWM offered to take him back since it was getting close to time for him to leave. We headed towards Trail 2 and PWM peeled off with Jim. Then a crackle on the radio that the little mini Rail Buggy lost his brakes. We called for Phil on the radio to hold up. The Mini Rail buggy joined PWM for the early return. As it turned it, it was probably a blessing for the Rail because the rest of the afternoon the trails were extremely slippery and muddy. Looked like the dozer was busy late this past week and it might have rained on the trails. Which made for some real good sticky mud. We took Trail 2 Ollis Creek and turned left on Trail 26. From this point on I realized we had some good experienced riders with us so we continued our journey with some more challenging type trails. We ended up at the Hills and Jumps for a short stop then into the Trucks. We finally got back in about 6:30 with about 50 miles on the odometer. | |
