Bad News Happening now at windrock

ATV rider swept away.

We had a steady and at times heavy rainfall in the knoxville area and the cumberland mountains were under a flash flood watch a good portion of the day. All that water goes somewhere and its at the base of the hills and mountains where it collects. Hope that this story turns up as a rescue instead of a recovery

Man you hate to hear stories like that. Sure hope they find him okay and unhurt too bad. After seeing the pics and video of what happened in Southern West Virginia this past spring, your heart really goes out to folks hit by that sort of thing. Gilbert, WV just damn near isn't there anymore. Praying they fully recover from what happened to them.

I hope they find him safe.

The Story has been updated and they found him and are checking him out.

havnt heard anything about him..............but i heard that he went in to the creek at 9 and 12 .the found his wheeler about 1.5 miles down at new river ...near 116.

link report they found the man alive,....good to hear.

found him 30-40 mins downstream.rescued around 12:45 sun. uninjured and refused medicial help. guess he was glad and lucky to still be here.

the found him about 1 mile past his wheeler ...........walking up the creek bank next to a cementary ..........

Great news. These stories don't usually turn out so good. It is nice to hear good news for a change.

on the news this morning , they interviewed him and he appeared to be no worse for wear or tear. said he stayed up that night walking in circles to stay warm....

I think his momma is gonna wear out the side of his hide if he gets on another atv. Also stated he didnt plan on gettin back on one anytime soon..

just a lesson for the rest of us........ play hard ride smart
