| Anyone running a clutch kit in their 2011 RZR? I have the Dirty Dawg in my S. Just wondering if anyone has anything different. I am just wanting something to help with engine braking mostly. | |

| Come on Gunny were depending on you . How do we fix this problem because it really sucks with no engine brake. There has to be a easy cheap way to do . | |

His setup for the 11 model is not cheap! It is almost twice the amount that I paid for the DD clutch setup in my 09 model. However, the clutch setup is adjustable to how much or how little EBS you want, just like the kit I installed in my 09. There is another vendor on RZRForums that has a non-adjustable setup (HD Performance). Another member over there referred me. He rides in southern Ohio and said his setup was spot on right out of the box. I sent a request for a quote on that setup and have not heard back. WV HRR, what kind of performance and price are we talking about on the Holz setup from EPI?

If this works on a 2010 RZR S and gives you engine braking, when can I get one?

| No need to buy an expensive kit from DD, ( unless your trying to re-clutch for bigger tires or what, the biggest $$ of his kit is the adjustable weights )to get EBS, there is two ways. cheapest is You just need a rzr pre oct2008(early 2009 model) secondary clutch , and if it doesnt have a ebs notched hellix then you buy one from Team Industries (2009 S models dont have the ebs notch, their ebs comes from the one way bearing on the primary clutch. 2nd way, buy a 2009 S primary clutch w/one way bearing, primary costs about 300.00(available from team ind.) Ive bought the 2008-09 secondary clutches for as low as 100 bucks on ebay, the new hellix is 69.00 but you only need that if the secondary came off a 09 S model. I also like to put in a stock set of 74 weights and red primary spring and a red secondary spring (most common one on many models) from a 2009 S, this stuff costs 60.00 bucks at the dealer and gives you more pull at low end. This is what i ran on my 2010 and i also put it in my 2011 and i have good EBS all the way down to where the primary disengages around 13-1400 rpm or just above just above idle.
Just a FYI, The DD kit will raise your engagement speed to around 17-1800. on his kit this is where your ebs will unlock. The reason i know all this is i bought the full kit from Dale for my 2010(same as 20011 models) here is what comes in it: A new pre 0ct 2009 Secondary with ebs hellix , a new red/green/black marked primary spring which raises your take off speed to roughly 1800 rpm, and a set of rooster adjustable primary weights ( which were preset at 74gr) and a lime green secondary spring. I did not like the higher take off so i removed the weights and primary and secondary spring (sold them) and basically built my own setup based on a 09 S model as listed above. Total cost was well under 200.00 with the ebay secondary.

| Tim has the DD clutch in his orange machine. He would probably let you try it before you bought it. | |

| Gunny, with this setup do you have to blip the throttle when going down a hill to keep the EBS working or will it stay engaged at all times? I want a EBS that will bring me to a stop when my foot comes off the gas, like the EBS on most ATVs And thanks for your patience my next question was going to be, could I buy a new secondary. | |

The closest you can come to that on a polaris is to add the one way bearing in the primary and the ebs notched hellix w/ the older style secondary. This combo will almost stop you if you let off the gas.

This is no lie. With my DD setup, I have to give it gas going downhill in low range. Too low in my opinion. In high, it is almost perfect (would be perfect if it were just a wee bit stronger). If you are running 25mph and let off the gas in high, it slows you down considerably, and when you get to about 2000RPM it almost brings you to a complete stop before it lets go. I have run this clutch for about 1200-1500 miles. My only complaint is it did eat up some fuel mileage, but I am going to tinker with the weights again once I get back to get it exactly right.
