Move down here to the south east then........ - Shawnb wrote:

Shawn, if you add a Polaris LT kit with shocks, it should take you from 10" of ground clearance to 12".

| Yeah a plus 5 will take you up to about 12" with the right shocks and springs. You can also go up a little more with a lift if you want. | |

I could get 15" with my lift. However, I could never make it ride good so I took the lift off.

I could get 15" with my lift. However, I could never make it ride good so I took the lift off. Most of the lifts just stand the shocks up. This pretty much gives you lift by reducing the leverage on the shock. So almost like just cranking up the preload, but worse cause your screwing with the way the valving works since your change the shock angle. I made a lift for mine that just lowerd the mounts a little but kept the shocks very close to stock angle. Worked great with my AFCO shocks. Now I have Fox 2.0 shocks and the rear shocks are longer so I don't need a bracket back there. Still use the front one though. Here is mine sitting at about 14 Here is a picture showing the difference between the lift bracket I made and the aftermarket one on the bottom See how far over and up it moves the mounts? The rear bracket is the same way

| BTW those aftermarket lifts are great for the stock shocks. Because they are under sprung and just not very good shocks. So reducing the leverage on them makes them much better. With after market shocks or shocks with the proper springs and valving. Most lifts will just beat you to death.. | |

| Well really though with him running stock shocks with a +5 he would probably just keep breaking sway bars even if he went with a stock S bar. With the soft shocks that sway bar is getting a work out!.. | |
