| Ok, I was riding this weekend in Windrock in toward the end of our last day one of the valve lifters in my engine started making noise. Of course when this happened, one of the cylinders would quite firing and it would run bad for a bit then it would pick the cylinder back up and run fine. I could tell when it was about to run bad because it would start making a tapping noise as if the lifter had lost oil or something. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions ? | |

| Sounds like you got the ecm (behind driver seat) wet, pull the plug off of it and smear it full of dielectric grease and that should fix it. Its a good idea to add it to every connection you can get to. | |

| Also check the ground, If you are not getting the right voltage it will make them run rough. | |

| Does a bad connection at the ECM cause a tapping noise that sounds like a faulty lifter? | |

| Obviously check oil level. Whens the last time it was changed and what oil was used? First thing to look at is oil pressure, alot of RZRs came from the factory with oil pressures out of spec. Dragonfire and Holz sell and adjustable regulator to get the pressure where it needs to be. It woulnd be the first RZR Ive seen with lifter issues, but it would be the first Ive heard of that does it while driving. | |

| Polaris oil is what is in it, probably has 600miles on the oil and is ready for a change. Didn't realize there was an oil pressure issue on the RZR. I will check into that too | |
