Transmission Noise Empty
PostSubject: Transmission Noise   Transmission Noise EmptyTue Nov 01, 2011 5:47 am

I have a 2011 Hisun 800-Massimo. Seems that the transmission is making a loud noise when the gas is not ingaged. Seems to pull fine, just really loud. It wasnt making this noise and suddenly started. I am thinking it is the Belt, anyone have any idea.

got it near huntington, wildcat motorsports or close to that. wasn't a good ordeal so hope to not need to take it back for service. The ride makes the noise the loudest right when you let off the gas and start to coast. getting louder. sounds near the trans or clutch pulley area. seems to pull fine, no noise to be heard under throttle

I tried to find a parts fiche. I you know of one please post a link. I believe you are the first one, on this site, to ask about problems with this machine. So its gonna be difficult to help without more info, parts fiche, or video. Does this machine have the v-twin?

Sounds like it may be the belt. This is a good thread with a lot of info on your machine.

Does it have any engine-braking??? Could be a bad one-way if it does.

I know the guy that owns that place. I don't know him well, but I do know him. One of my good friends from back in Huntington is always looking at the machines he sells. What was not good about the purchase, just so I can pass it along. Obviously I don't know you, and even if I did I would not disclose your name. But if their customer service sucks, then maybe a friendly word of mouth that got to him could help future customers.

Customer service was awful. The machine wasnt put together properly, it took close to a month to get a CV boot that they tore while putting it together. Then the real issue that just sealed the deal with me was the trying to get my windshield. It took about 4 months of being told that they shipped it, then the dealer said that Massimo had to send it, called Massimo and was told that the dealer has it, called dealer and said they didn't have it would need to order. Dealer would say will call you back and keep updated, NO. Then when I would call they never seemed to remember what I was refering to. It was just bad customer service. They are also rude.
He sales them at a good deal and they come with the windshield and top but needs to improve on Customer Service.
The issue of not being put together right, alot of bolts missing, even main frame bolts. Needs to pay more attention to details...

I know what you mean. The Honda/Polaris dealer down the street (Cycle Center) is just as bad. I walked in to their service dept and asked for an air filter element for the RZR. She looked at me and asked, "Who makes the RZR?"
I turned around and just walked out. Unbelievable.

Ok. Have started the tear down to get to the clutches. But have hit a road block, how do you drain the gas tank? I am used to working on cars and this thing is different. I have missplaced by books on the machine. Any ideas?
Thanks

Just remove the tank with the gas in it.
