| I got a ticket tonight for OHV on Highway and was curious to how much it was gonna cost me. Cop didn't know how much they were. Town allows golf carts to ride on street so i figured id take the RZR over by trailer and unload it in town to ride around and watch fireworks. Within 10 minutes i got pulled over, then a backup car showed up and i was told to leave it there that i could'nt take it rite back up the road to my trailer. Had to get a ride to my truck and go load it up. This all while people are riding around in golf carts, but they said RZR's had to many CC's :/ Made for a good picture tho lol | |

| I just found out that here in laurel county they are tagging for regular car tags on rangers. They are also doing the ranger rzr too. I was told they just need the title and proof you paid taxes. | |

| and two weeks from now they will be calling your house during supper time wanting you to donate money to their cause. and they will offer to send you a nice sticker to display that you donated to the local police department. SOME officers take the law a little too far every chance they get. and SOME citizens push the limits of the law as far as they can get away with. a simple explanation of WHY you are not allowed to drive your RZR on the street and a front and back escort back to your trailer would have been plenty. these guys were being AZZholes!! with a badge!! | |

| Yep they are not allowed on the road inless tagged. Most of the time to get them tagged they need a rearview mirror, turn signals and a windsheild. Some places require more some less. A lot of places won't let you tag them at all cause right on the certificate of origin it says for off road use only. Honestly a lot of laws are crazy, But I mean that one does kind of make since. Manafacture says don't operate it on the highway its kinda of strange some states ignore it.
I think places with the golf cart deal is just because they are considered low emissions since most all of them are electric. The gas powered ones are kinda of weird. Push the gas the motor starts up and moves the cart. Stop the cart and the motor goes off. I know around here they have talked about it on the news several times since we have a few golf courses. People were wanting to be able to drive them around the neighborhood and what not. I never see any of them on the road so I don't guess they every got it passed.

I was told that for laurel that they said tires, blinker, etc was not required here. If I'm not working I will go and ask questions about it next week.

| Been stopped by the county here. They wanted to know if I was carrying a weapon....it was during hunting season. I ride on the road a lot.
8ball99 I can get a tag here in Morgan county. I also heard of one in Madison county. Its called a LSV (low speed vehicle) tag.

| Here as long as the road speed-limit is not over 45, and you display a tractor-triangle, amber flashing light on the roof, SMV ,as it's called here, you're good to go. The problem comes when local, county, state, and federal officers do not know the laws....some do, some don't. | |

| Hey Nick, in tn you can look it up on the DMV site what exactly you need. Yes it does have to be registered (they treat it like a motorcycle) and we get to go everywhere except the interstate. Off the top of my head in TN you need to have blinkers, a full windsheild, and 1 type of rearview mirror and thats all that is required. On the note of you getting pulled over that sucks. I live 2 miles from a gas station that 1 mile is my backroad the other is a major 2 lane hwy. I have passed sheriffs a couple times and they just wave and keep goin. (Also I know about half of them so that might help as well) Either way if there were golf carts in the area yeah the guy was just being a dick. Thank god our cop buddy in here is one of the good ones!!! | |

| in Idaho you can ride anywhere you want as long as its not on the highway or freeway. all you need is a registration for Idaho that cost $7.00 for 7 years. here in Washington they will impound your ride if your tires touch the pavement. | |
