Anyone got a ticket for riding on the road???

Reminder to self not to go to Washington state...
I like to be able to ride mine around the block every now and again.

In SC it's almost that bad. You can ride up to a mile from your home on secondary roads but that's it. It's funny because you can go anywhere you want on a scooter or a tractor (except intersates).

I'm putting flashing Red and White lights in mine as an "Emergency Fire Vehicle" so I can use mine. Actually, where Stealth and I live we're working with the town to "legalize" them on the roads. Some towns close around us have already.

I was able to get a LSV tag for my XP in Madison County, AL. I have been told that the State of AL has since issued notices to the DMVs to stop letting people with SxS tag them as mini-trucks. It would still be worth giving it a try to see if you can do it. I ride mine around Madison from time to time and haven't had any issues. I just make sure I don't go over 35mph. I see no reason to give them any additional reason to pull me over. I had a state trooper follow me for a mile or so, and he didn't do anything. I suspect he saw the tag and decided against pulling me over.

Did you end up having to pay it? The MSV tag was ridiculously easy to get here in Marion county.

Yeap $128.

Man that sucks, I'm surprised they wouldn't let you get the tag and then drop it because you corrected the problem...
