I need the information again if you please. I'd like to hear of your "Best" ways to season a new cast iron skillet. There are several different ways to do this and I'd like to hear as many as you have. Thanks for any help guys.

Put a little cooking oil in it and put it in the oven at 350 for a hour. Does a good job & east on the dish soap when cleaning.

we always burn ours out with some type of flameable stuff and set em of fire for e a while then wash really good

I have about 20, or so, #3 skillets. I use them to make wind chimes. I drill out the edge and hang old silverware on them with 30 lb fishing string. That is one thing of about a hundred reclaimed things I do that to. I sell them at craftfairs. That is how I season mine.
