We will keep this thread updated with links to Organizations that are actively working to guarantee our access to ride on Public Lands. If anyone finds some group they want to add to this list, get me the link and we will add it.
http://www.arra-access.com/arra/home.html The above link is a really cool place that sends you Legislative action alerts and when you log in will give you a pregenerated email to you Representatives. All you got to do is click and your Letter is sent.

Now more than ever these groups need your support to help keep access to public lands. The amount of activity to close places since the Obama administration took over is amazing. I get multiple emails a week to send letters to congress. Please at least sign on to : http://www.arra-access.com/arra/home.html
once registered they send you pre generated emails that go directly to your Congress Rep and Senators. You just click and it's sent. All of these are good sources of info for what our friends and foes are up to.

Subject: Americans For Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:57 pm
I recently received the partial email included below from the ARRA titled “Get Involved on National Public Lands Day!” promoting “National Public Lands Day” (http://www.publiclandsday.org/) which sounded like a worthy cause at first glance.
I’ve always thought the ARRA (http://www.arra-access.com/) had a pro OHV access message but having looked into National Public Lands Day’s list of “Partners” (http://www.publiclandsday.org/about/partners/index.htm) I believe I have changed my opinion.
Their “Premium” partners and “Federal Agency” seem ok but if you scroll down and look at the list of their “Partner” web sites it paints a very different picture. While some are ok, there are some REAL OHV enemies listed
Judge for yourself, but personally I will no longer promote their supposed pro OHV stance or publish supposed “pro OHV access” items I receive from them.
Here’s a portion of the email I received . . . .
”August 27, 2009 - Visit public lands near you on September 26, 2009 for the 16th annual National Public Lands Day. You can help improve public lands for recreation by working with other volunteers to assist land managers in hands-on work. As an added benefit, all day-use fees will be waived for the day. Last year, more than 120,000 volunteers worked in 1,800 locations in every state to be involved in a variety of activities such as trail construction, removing trash and planting trees.
Visit the National Public Lands Day site to learn more about National Public Lands Day and to check for events located at public lands near you.”

The Access Army is a non-partisan, non-violent, multi-organizational grassroots coalition led by a Joint Chiefs of Staff, comprised of soldiers from all walks of life and recreational pursuits, with the sole purpose of fighting back against unnecessary land and water closures, restrictions to access, and theft of our freedoms.
We are responsible users of lands and waterways, and we intend to maintain our freedom of access with our stewardship and strength in numbers. We've had enough closures and restrictions, let alone unjust treatment from those that oppose our way of life. We are fighting back and combining forces with organizations, groups, clubs, and businesses from all across our great country.
As a soldier in our Army, we ask only what time, energy and effort you can give us. We ask that you also join (and donate to) organized groups whether they are perfect or not; they are what we have. Our battle plan is to engage the Internet, social networks and virtual off-road world to combine forces, charge enemy lines and win this war on access.

THE ACCESS ARMY
It's not a game; it's about our access to public lands and waterways. We're launching The Access Army, and we want you. We are about wheeled access; nationally; for all of us. We are helping the standing organized recreation groups and organizations with our informal coalition. We are FIGHTING BACK.
At this point there are no dues; few rules; and no meetings -- just battle.
We are virtual -- we are harnessing the power of the Internet and social networking to save trails, keep our motorsports alive and defend our freedoms.
We fully support and belong to all those organization recreation groups out there now -- national, regional, state and local. We are not stealing members from anyone; we are building an Army combined of everyone. We insist our soldiers be part of standing organized recreation groups. But The Access Army takes down any organizational barriers and removes any turf battles by acting more like a "friends" group or informal coalition on a national scale covering all motorized sports.
