Does anyone have any experience with an intercom system? I want to be able to talk to my passenger easier but I hate to waste money on something that has already failed someone else. I have seen kits on ebay for around $10 but that seems cheap. I wonder if they would work?

Ive found turning your head and yelling works best lol! J/K but being so close only the expensive helmet intercoms like motorcycle riders use will work well and they are cumbersome and delicate. Most of us use the 2 way radios to talk vehicle to vehicle and that works good.

I was actually wanting to use it mostly for racing. I am deaf in my right ear and it makes it hard as hell to hear my passenger/copilot.

in that case, check out some of the units for motorcycles, but it would need to be push to talk over vox, if youre racing the vox would pick up too much noise to work right.
