My guess is that Polaris has already had some guys designing a cooler to fit in the bed space. It will be available as a Pure Polaris accessory soon. Oh, it'll also have a $150 price tag.

| I wonder why they did no extend them out like the old S bars. I bet the old box will fit in the middle there and put a cooler mount on top of that. Wonder if those seats will fit the older RZRs. They look decent.

Also was listening to video, all the wiring for stereo etc runs through the cage. Might make chopping interesting.
I want one but as said above let others do the product testing while I save. 900s just dropped big time in resale value though
I was wondering about storage also, with those rails coming into bed? I'm sure they'll work it out.

| They have a box but that's all you are going to fit there, seems like a waste of space | |

| You know I was really impressed when I first seen it, But the more I look at it the less I love it. I sill like it, But between the lack of bed space, paying for those pretty much useless doors, same low hanging tooth pick lower radius rods. Several things about it I'm not that crazy about.. Probably still needs a full skid like all the rest of them. Considering that 20k price tag and it still needing a lot of the same aftermarket stuff to get it ready kind of sucks. The beefed up drive train, extra power, higher trailing arms and needle shocks are all huge pluses though. It looks like a great machine, just seems like a pretty expensive starting point. Wonder what the 4 seater version is going to come in at 23k? | |

lol what you mean pics of that 20k stock machine with about another 5k put on it Really though it is a nice machine.. MSRP on a EPS 900XP is what 17,700. If someone is looking at a brand new 2 seater you get a lot more on that stock 1000 for 2 more grand. I really do think the prices are high for what you get on any of these machines, But polaris has been pretty smart on keeping the difference between machines close enough its hard not to want to jump up a level. Its the same way with a base S vs base XP. You do get a lot more machine for the price difference. Just the high clearance trailing arms and needle walker evans shocks pretty much make the difference between the 900 and 1000 much less the 88hp vs 107. All that other stuff is just a bonus....

| What do y'all think is the max MSRP the buyers can tolerate? And what is the point of diminishing returns? Is $20,000 the magic number? I just find it very difficult to justify the price tags on some of these toys. | |

| Depends on what you get for $20k
What if you got the 1000 with real doors, high clearance radius rods, arched a-arms, stereo and storage box?
When I add up what I have in my 900 I am close to 22k if not more (I am sure I am forgetting stuff)

| I bet I have $25,000 in mine. However, that is very custom. I like it that way. I really don't want to spend $20,000 and then add my flare to it. My Rhino was $9,500 in 2008. Just saying. | |

I've heard a bunch of guys say the same. I've had people look and my XP4 and say they would love to have one but can't see paying that much for a toy. Plenty of guys over on the RZR forums say the same. You know what though it is what it is. A new harley can easily MSRP for 20k plus. Has anyone priced boats lol. Average bass boat is what 30k? I'd love to see these companies get into a pricing war and the prices drop across the board. Honestly though I'm sure there is plenty of guys wiling and able to drop 20k on a Toy. Polaris probably has a room full of people to figure out how many units they can sell at what ever price..

| I totally understand how we can end up spending some big money on these machines. In my case I just kept trading up as funds allowed, also spending on accessories and replacement parts along the way. But if I were in a position to start from scratch, I don't know that it would be justifiable to drop 20 grand on a new machine, then put another 5 grand in outfitting it. Spread out over time it doesn't hurt as badly I guess. Maybe I would feel differently if I was financing it, but it's just my personal preference to not finance toys. I guess my real question was at what point does Polaris out price themselves from the market. There will always be "x" number of buyers that will purchase the product regardless of cost, but how many additional buyers would they have if they sold the same product at $15,000, or $18,000. Would the increase in sales volume outweigh the loss of "per unit" profit? Also, how does the addition of another two models into the lineup affect the sales of the existing models? Is there really that much of a difference between the 800 and the 800 S where they need to have a model in between? Yeah, I know how much new boats cost too! | |
