Royal blue

Hey guy's! I am planning on going to royal blue some time in October with my family and some friends. Is there any good places to stay other than in one of the cabins? I have never been there, but want to take the wife and kids out on a good trail system before it turns off cold. Thanks in advance.

There are hotels on exit 141.

Why don't you want to stay in a cabin?

I was planning on maybe staying in one, but didn't know about the area. thought there might be something better out there.

They might be booked this time of year. I would not mind taking the family out for one more ride before it gets cold.

For convenience, cleanliness , and comfort I would suggest the Comfort Inn @ exit 141 (423-566-4400)  close to restaurants , gas ,and adult beverages

I don't know if they are or not. I can find cabins that are available right now, but I haven't set a date to go just yet.

The cabins arent that bad. If u get a pretty big crew going they have a few doublewide trailers that sleep a bunch of people. We stayed in the biggest doublewide before and it was an alright setup.

there's four adult's and four kids going. I keep looking at the bunkhouse above the recreation center. they don't have any pics of it though.

When are you going? Just your family?

It will be my wife and two kids with me and my buddy his wife and two of there kids. We won't be all crazy like the last ride.
just cruizing. We don't have a date set yet.

Big R and Catmostfeared stayed in a cabin there, with kids and some others, I think.

I would like to go too.  Just not till a few weeks after the October 11, 12, 13th club ride at Wind Rock.

I'm just not sure if we'll get a big cabin or two little cabins. with four kids going from 2 to 5 yrs old. it might be a cluster fck with all them in the same room. I just don't want to get down there and go "oh shit! I have to stay in that!"

Hey, the more the merrier.  Do you know any of the trails?

Some. I have Dans maps. Everything is there.

There are no super tough trails. If they regrade dirt on the trail out of the campground, and it rains, stay off of it. Go back to the road, turn left, go down the road to another road on your left that has a trail number on it. Lots of sight seeing. It will take you a couple of days to go on all of the trails, at least it did us.

Thanks gimpy! We where planning on getting there like friday and come home on a monday.

I'm not sure we have to plan around the moon phases, hi tides, and minstrel cycles. Hell it could be next year! But hopefully in october before it turns of cold.
