I got a new set of Special Carriers trailing arms in the other day, so I thought I would post some pics since they're a newer company to the RZR world.
Best part about Special Carriers so far has been the communication and customer service. I ordered the trailing arms on a Thursday and they were at my door on Tuesday.
Clint was on either on Facebook or emailing me the entire time asking me questions-powder colors, ideas for new product, etc.
So with any new product, I was anxious to see if the real thing matched the website photos.
Below are some pics before powder. Look at those welds!!!
So then I took them up to the powder coater and asked for them to be Black Chrome. Said powder coater then failed with Black Chrome and stated that the powder was bad as it created several splotches. He then told me he would give me a color that was close and this is what he came up with:
Notice he also coated the Heims...
Needless to say I was very pissed as I couldn't move my Heims. So I Facebooked Clint at Special Carriers and asked him if he could send me the specs on the Heims so I could buy some new ones and he told me not to worry about it and mailed me a new pair for free!!! Stand-up guy.
So then, after the failed powder experiment, I went to a more established place and proceeded to pay $240 to blast the crappy powder off (it was 19 mils thick) and then have them re-shot with Harley Davidson Black Pearl.
I think they look pretty good.
Installation was super easy. They already came set at stock length and it took me about an hour per side to install. Fit was absolutely perfect. This company is definitely not a backyard mechanic type company. Packaging was really good. Came with new brake line clamps and re-used stock bolts. Only callout was that there were no instructions. I emailed Clint and told him it might be a good idea and he said he was already working on making some for those with less experience wrenching.
Overall, I couldn't be happier. I'm going to test them out this weekend at Trails End and do my best to break them. Clint is also working on a 2" forward A-arm set and prototyping a set of Radius rods for me. As soon as I buy those, I"ll post them up as well.
