I'm a Fire Captain for the DOE in Oak Ridge, TN. I previously work at Kennedy Space Center FD, thus the username kscfire.

Started off working for Ga. Power Company as a biologist collecting biological data around two nuclear power plant sites in Georgia. Then got moved to corporate headquarters setting up programs to keep the company legal with EPA. The last 25years I worked with Osmose Woodpreserving (Osmose makes the chemical used to pressure treat wood) as environmental manager trying to keep our customers across the country within EPA laws. Now I'm retired and can't believe that in February it will be a year. I now wish I lived closer to some good riding trails. I Would be a trail bum. LOL

I have Homer Simpson's job. I operate a Nuclear Reactor at Watts Bar.

CFO is my steady gig.
Internet marketing and software design is my more lucrative but less steady job.

I am disabled and unable to work any longer. I was a national director for a company (Locknet) that developed and supplied products specifically for the defense dept. and military installations around the country and overseas. I was Lucky to have participated in the rebuilding of the Pentagon after the 9/11 attack in a small way, very rewarding project.
