14 xp9 strong exhaust fumes and alot of heat from header.

Just recently I have noticed my xp9 filling the cab with exhaust fumes and Friday nite I played around at the house it noticed quickly a lot of heat coming from engine compartment. Walked around it to see if I noticed anything out of the norm and if you been down on the header side its putting off a lot of heat. Any ideas on what might cause this. Filter is clean, no spark arrestor in it, engine temp hasn't changed any by the gauge anyway.
