Colorado & Utah 8/15-8/22

Rode Taylor Park, CO trails. Grand Junction, CO dunes. and Moab UT slickrock.


Taylor Park. RZR forum ride was Thurs-Sun. We got there sat. afternoon just as Polaris was leaving. There were 712 people and 332 machines registered for the ride.

Great Marty. How many miles did you put on your truck? Looks like a great time. I showed the pics to the wife and she is ready to go.

3600 miles total on my 4Runner. 320 trail miles on maverick in 6 days.

Maverick is impressive. 570 miles on it now. Really like it.

Makes me want to go there. It was back in 2000 when I was there last.

You might have to wait until Cash is 6. Then we can take the boys and the Mom's would let us go.....

I don't know if he can wait that long. Missy told me he has talked about it every day on the way to school! The boy is adamant he is going to Utah!

Let's go. I think I can work it in my schedule seriously we should plan something.

like goose said, we are trying to make a plan for next yr. (or any time), been out three times. i think the last one was in 98 0r 99. there anit  nothing like it, the slick rock is great.

In order to be able to go with the kids it will have to be during their summer break. For us it starts the first week of June. If we go to Taylor park we will have to wait until the snow melts in late July. If we go to Moab I would prefer to go early in the summer before it gets way hot.

Sounds like a plan is hatching

OK Nathan, pick your poison Moab or Colo? I would love to go either place.

Moab. We'll just have to do Colorado the next year. Momma knows we are talking about it but she has yet to give her blessing. Are we taking the toy haulers and camping? Or carpooling with a big trailer to haul the buggies and hoteling it?

Yank, do you have some advice for us? Is it necessary to be street legal in Utah when the big events are not going on?
