| Paiute would be cool to see for sure. I have heard though that most of the good trails are 50" width resricted. I think you will be traveling mostly on gravel roads. | |

| Only the extreme trails are 50" from what I've been researching and told by folks that have been out there.
I was also told that you could never hit all the side x side trails in 2 weeks but I'm sure most will be forest roads but they seem to be set up to go to all the scenic areas.
We will also be taking our 2 atv's so will be able to hit any trails we want. I'm not into the extreme riding otherwise I'd be doing Moab.
It's our first time out and really looking forward to having miles of trails instead of the few we have up here.

| Real nice. What elevation were you riding at, and how did the Prowler run for you up high? | |

| The elevation was from 5800 to over 11,500. Only had one small glitch with the Prowler but it ran great after that. I had to pinch the drain tube off as all the gas was running out the bottom of the bowl, not sure if the elevation blew some sort of seal out or what. I changed the jet from a 138 to a 128 prior to the trip and it started, idled, and ran like a charm. This is on trail 21 to Hoovers [img] [/img]

Most of the 2 weeks it was in the 70's and 80's for highs and 40's for lows and a nice breeze. The last 2 days it pushed 100 and no a whisper of a breeze. No rain on any of our trips but some guys next to us hit heavy rain and hail in the mountains. Casto Canyon Pics [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

| awesome scenery ! i am threatning and i think the wife would let me do it.. buy another 2500 diesel, 5th wheel toyhauler. load up and tour the country for 2-3 years. spending months in different parts of the USA. South dakota, Utah would definetly be on the agenda.
if you post some pics, please include some info on the pix.
keep em comming | |

| Me and some friends are planning a trip to the Piute trail system next year. Noticed you mentioned changing the jets. Was this just to play it safe or something completely necessary for the carburated engine? Also nice | |

| For me it was necessary.
We live at 1200 feet and the place we were staying was 5800 feet and the trails took you anywhere from there up to over 11,000 feet.
The Prowler may have run but it would really have been struggling.
