| thanks, not sure which do-hickeys you are talking about LOL There are two small LED lights mounted by the speakers, then in the center there are two toggles, the volume control and the input plug for the MP3 Here is a video, the sound is actually MUCH louder than it sounds in the video and you can see me switch on the lights, maybe that will answer your question better. | |

| The box is actually a lid off of an old aluminum toolbox that I had and no longer used, one could be made very easily but I already had it and it will never rust! The volume does look awkward but it really isn't. I wanted it and the switches to be somewhat protected by the handle so nothing could bump them.
I have had the lights in there for a long time mounted to the roof, I just moved them to the speaker box since I put it in.
The entire set up cost around $130, for that price it turned out great LOL

Gary, There is no radio. Most of us hook our I-pod straight to an amp.

| Big R is right, no stereo only the mp3. My mp3 had a built in tuner so I can still listen to the radio but I doubt I will. With mp3's there is no skipping and no head unit to go bad. | |

| Shawnley, I am sure you know about all the pros and cons but for me the mp3 was the easy winner. You can get an inexpensive one for $25-$50 and some even have a radio built in (mine does) in a head unit the CD's can/will skip and I didn't want to carry CD's around in the woods. To have the same music I have on my mp3 it would probably take 50 CD's. Then there is the issue of waterproof, you can make a mp3 waterproof or near with just about anything even saran wrap. Then there is the issue of just where to put it, if you put an overhead stereo box in it can hang low and you hit your helmet. My mp3 just sits in a small cell phone case hung from the front roll bar. Up high and out of the way and the case will do a good job protecting it from splashes and rain. | |

| Shawn, I have a CD/radio with an MP3 auxiliary jack. I like the idea of being able to burn cds and take them out on the trail too. I got a marine cd player and a cover. It stays dry and also almost never skips. I like my setup alot, but the thing did take up space in the dash. Other than that, I have no complaints. | |

p.s. How did you run all your power wires? inside the frame or just zipped tie to the frame? I think its the exact same kit as Hunter works but this includes speakers and is quite a bit cheaper. Kit A has white speakers and kit B has black speakers. http://www.audioallies.com/GetItem.asp?Item=MP3%2DKIT%2DBFor the wires I drilled a hole in the roll bar and fished a piece of mig welding wire through it to pull the wire. It was a bit of a pain but worth it. I don't have to worry about anything pulling the wires off on the trail.

| I agree, weight is important. But, I like the setup I have. The speaker bar is made specifically for the Rhino and was a breeze to install. 150 bucks, but well worth it. | |
