how many of you guys would be interested in a group ride in western indiana to do some riding.
the park is 800 acres on an abandoned gravel pit with a mix of everything from dunes, pea gravel, mud, and rock crawling.

i've been here before, like i told you before Moto.....never with the rhino...back in the sport bike days...
i would at least consider it....i believe they have campgrounds on site now......
i don't think it would be anything like riding at Evarts or Windrock or Brimstone though.....just my .02

When you thinking about going? We were thinking of going there in the spring when it warms up a little.

id like it to be a little warmer, me and joe can ride around here and freeze our asses off

I have been to little egypt a couple of times, but that is about it. I normally am not a big night rider, but I guess I need to try it with you guys sometime.

I'd consider going.....would be one of the closer rides for me

Just let me know when you go. I should be able to go. I try to go 2-3 times a year.
With the rhino you can go back to 4x4 area.

There is also Haspin Acres.

I know what you mean about the long drives.....when we went to Black Mountain in Evarts, KY last year it took about 6 hours...but we stopped a couple times....if you have some guys to drive with it ain't to bad though.....

I took the Rhino to Interlake the weekend after it re-opened. It was actually pretty cool. We were only there for about 4 hours so there is a ton of the park that we didn't even get to explore. there are no maps or anything so if you don't know the property(which i do not) it's somewhat tough to figure out where all the trails are.

I had some vacation days to burn so i'm off until Jan. 5th, so i'm trying to get some buddies rounded up and head back over there and check it out again. It's only about an hour away from me....

rubicon05 don't you need a permit to ride there?

u have to be registered with the state of IN....but i've heard they are pretty lenient about it....I'm not sure what out of state people have to have....

where in IN do live? I'm close to Bloomington IN

and im out of state, i would hate to get there and not be able to ride. ive heard people talk about riding there and saying it was good but that was before the state took it over.
it would be just over an hour for me to get there

SC...i grew up in Dubois...about 1 hour 15 minutes West of B-town....i live in Jasper now....

this is what another guy told me on another forum about Interlake....

I believe if they are registered in their home state they are good to ride up to so many days a year If you live in a state that dosen't have ATV registration then you have to register your ATV with the Indiana DNR. It cost 30 bucks for 3 years and you can ride on any county rode and state parks that allow it. Go to the DNR website and download the form and send it in with your vehicle info.

u can print the PDF here and fill it out.....it's only 30 bucks for 3 years......if i were you, i'd come ride it one time...if you like it and think it's worth it....buy a registration.....

I've been to Redbird when i have my Honda Rubicon......and way back when before the gov't took it over on my 400ex.......that place is awesome if like a challenge.....steep hills...

it's been about 1 1/2 years since i've been there, but i can only imagine it would be somewhat tight with the Rhino......

to me, having the Permit is worth it, even if you only go there once a year....it's only 30 bucks for 3 years...thats only 10 bucks a year.....don't eat out one day and it's paid for

We need to get together and ride sometime.
I only 12 acres with a few hills and jumps.
But do go on some road cruises to.

you have to send off for one or you can get one @ Indy.....it only takes about 2-3 weeks to get your permit when you send it off.....
we should ride sometime....my father farms and we own around 1000 acres....so i have a couple places to ride... :D

Moto....u can ride @ Interlake...just make sure you have proof that you are a IL resident....this is what i found

Sec. 19. A vehicle registered in another state or country to a nonresident of Indiana may be operated within Indiana under authority of the registration for a period not to exceed twenty (20) days in one (1) year.

so maybe i can get away with just my drivers license i guess.

i was lookin at pics from haspin acres and seems like theres more than a few holes that will swallow jeeps and trucks
