Shawn , also put a thin coat of grease around the lip
of the filter where it seals to the box.... Wink
really helps seal it up good.

PostSubject: Re: A few mods to add   A few mods to add - Page 2 EmptyFri Jan 09, 2009 6:03 pm

Well I tested out the speaker bar and radio before I installed everything and worked fine so I soldered all the connections to make them more permanent and got everything thrown up there (not the prettiest wirine job, but I plan on fixing after tomorrows ride) but now I got nothing no overhead lights, radio power sound NOTHIN!!!! Mad Mad Mad I am hopoing if I run the ground to the lower frame it will fix it but I am done messing with it tonight so any suggestions to try?

all fuses are still good not getting jack shit on anything of the newly installed mods(they DID work when I tedted it all in a jumbled mess)

I am going to try and reground it but dont see why the crossmembers above should be sufficent groundin so I guess i'll have to tear them all apart and re connect each one by one Mad  beat HitFan Bitchslap

does everyone or anyone agree the overhead crossarms should be a good ground?

Not really Shawn. all the cage is coated with stuff almost like
bed liner coating. it may not be grounded very well. No

on the cross bar under the hood which is part of the frame.
i made a ground block for all my accessories . and its
all grounded there or the battery. some stuff you cant ground
to the battery or you will get motor noise in the speakers.
Ground it to the frame. and i bet all will work... Wink

Looking good dude. Why the radiator guard? With all the deep stuff you do, I would think it would hold more mud in than what you would want.
