| whats a good way to install a new ball joint into the knuckle. im changing out the bearings and decided to do the ball joints while ive got them off. i used a hammer and punch to just knock the old ones out but dont want to mess up the new ones on the way in. | |

| Moto, I put them in the freezer overnight, then used a socket that fit the top and used a BFH and drove them home. |

| well that didnt work worth a damn. so i went a bought a socket big enough to fit over the threaded end of the ball joint. got it started into the hole and gave it a few good hits and broke that lip off where it seats onto the knuckle. so i tried the other one and guess what, yea broke it too. theres $50 i didnt really need anyways | |

| if you don't have a press or vise just get your car or truck jack and slide under the truck with your jack and put the ball join in a nipple "go to hardware store and buy pipe nipple to fit" but put the nipple over the ball joint abd use the jack and the truck as a press.jst push against the frame of the truck of you could use the rear reciever that would work too. | |
