| Okay guys.....took my new S out for its first weekend. About 3-4 miles in it started making a weird noise. It is a metal "slapping" sound. It only did it a very few times the first day. The second day it seemed to do it more and more. It does not really make the noise on the asphalt, but more on trails and places where the wheels are not level to each other. It is very annoying, but I could live with it as long as I know it is not tearing something up. Anyone have any ideas or similar experience with theirs? Just trying to get some feedback before I take it to the dealer and they tell me it is common. It does not sound like a "healthy" noise to me, but then again I have never ridden an S. | |

| I've read somewhere Chris the motor-mounts flex so much they will let the motor hit the frame and make some noise??? I'd look for any rub-marks or missing paint on or around the and get out the wrenches and make sure nothings loose back there. Check it all!!! | |

| Some guys seem to think it is the diff........some say the brakes. I am going to put it up on jacks tomorrow and check everything and grease some stuff. That thing is all I expected it to be. It goes amazingly well without locking in AWD. It has tons of power and the delivery is instant. I ripped up trail 3 on top at about 35-40mph and it was amazing. It slings mud like nobody's business so I will be looking at a homemade fix and some doors soon. Other than that, my only complaint is the small bed space, but I can deal with it for the amount of fun that thing is. It is incredibly stable when navigating obstacles even in off-camber situations. I did, however, pull one of those "Gunny manuevers" on level ground. Break it in right baby!! | |

| LT relax, what youre hearing is the metal heat shield under the bed vibrating against the frame, its a simple fix just put some silicone glue in spots on it where it touches the frame. Mine did it first day, i pulled the bed, easy if you go to prc and look up the how to, takes about 5 min. but you can probably do it without pulling it. The heat shield is there to deflect the muffler heat from the bed bottom. | |
