| Can i just go to the cycle gear store and get a big of air filter foanm that they sell ? he said that people come in all the time and buy it and cut it to the size of filter they need. the stock 170 foam piece is 29.95 for just a piece of foam.OMG And this big 3 feet foam is only 14.00! So if just cut this to the same size thats on the 170 filter now will it be ok ? what do you guys think ? | |

| Woody , Some foam is denser than others. if the foam is to dense , meaning how well air will flow through. it wont work. it will cause the motor to run to fat. if its the same density , it will be fine.... | |

| Sometimes piece of mind from buying the right part is worth the added expense. Especially when that part can effect the running of the motor. Freedom Powersports one of our forum sponsors offers a discount on online ordered parts, check out their website listed in the sponsor section and check them for a price. | |

| Wild Woody........let us put this in the proper perspective ......How many 1,000's of dollars did you spend on the "Little RZR"?.......now if the engine goes down as a result of an improper, cheep, air filter....no more warranty......now YOU have to spend $$$$$$$ to repair the engine, or it just sits there useless....NOW I ask you, is the $30.00 filter really expensive????? For what it's worth, that's | |

It should be OK Kent, Buuutttt The P.J.-1 is made for foam filters. A K&N filter, which by the way ,I would'nt put in my lawnmower, is a different media. Any oil is better than none tho. As long as it's just the pre, it should be o.k. | |

| I used K&N filter oil on my UNI just the other day (for the Rhino). I guess maybe I should look into some other type of spray-on application. | |
