I have a buddy who has owned 3 renegades and utility 800 and the frames broke under the seats on every one of them. Canam would not warranty them either. He had the tools and knowledge to fix them but i read many horror stories of others who ended up with expensive piles of junk. The only thing that saved a lot them from a total loss was to sell the rotax motor to guys doing engine swaps into rhinos.
I read all this stuff from guys about waiting on the canam and know they dont have a clue as to the history of problems and crappy customer survice canam is known for. I wouldn't wait 5 minutes for one myself.

I guess I must have gotten one of the better Can Am Outlanders. 1300 miles before I sold it for a Rhino and the only thing I had replaced was a swing arm. It was all factory warranty. I guess I'll be the Can AM guinea pig with the biggest ext. warranty I can get.

If and when it does come out I'd love to see one stripped down without the plastics for inspection purposes before I bought it.

Well Gunny, I am going to let you in on a little secret. Many people think Polaris is a POS. Just because you have one does not mean it is the greats built machine.

Personally, I think Polaris quality is no where near Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda. The only reason I am considering a RZR is because it is a very fun machine. Not because it is a well built machine. Also, I just need it to last for a year or two. That should be long enough for Yamaha, Can-AM or Kawasaki to make a machine just as fun as the RZR.

The funny thing is, I am probably going to buy RZR. However, It is not the best built machine on the market. I am willing to except that. Some can not. I hate when it just so happens that the machine you have is the best at everything.

So which machine are you getting six months form now Gunny. Because I am sure it is going to be the best EVER!!!!!!

I just sold my can am 800 max xt to a doctor who was going to put the motor in his rhino. Had to get rid of it, one ride 9 weeks in shop, then one ride and another 9 weeks in the shop. Sure it had a 3 year warranty but it cost me 50 dollars every visit and 45 minutes each way to get it fixed. If that is what you want to call what they did to it.
