| Kids didn't get to stay home as long as we'd have liked when we had to bury our Grandson, Adam. So the Boss and I came out here for a while. Aurora is a suburb of Denver so to speak. Weather is Freaking Great! Mid 80's during the day and mid 50's at night with little to no humidity and high blue skies. We came to visit them but might tie in a little more sight seeing also. I'd like to go back up to Rocky Mountain Natl. Park again. Highest paved road in North America. Last time there was July 07. 96* in the valley when we started up, 34* up on top and snowing! Still 12 FEET of snow on the ground. This was at a rest stop near the top. Right behind us you can see a Rocky Mountain Bighorn Ram in this pic. I do indeed love Good Ol West Virginia, but boys, from the top of this mountain at near 14,000 feet, you can almost reach out and touch the face of God. This is almost 2.5 MILES above Sea Level. | |

| Trail Ridge Road is a certainly a gorgeous drive if the weather cooperates at all.... looking west over the Never Summer range, you'd think you were in the Alps or something. Plus, the tundra is neat -- theres places you can still see the wagon ruts in the tundra from the pioneer days!
Was that Dall Sheep on Mount Evans? I've seen the Mountain Goats up there, but not the more skittish Sheep.... | |

| Ya ought to come on out Dirt Chick. Make ol DD unfold some of that moldy old money of his and bring you out to the big mountains. If I could talk the Boss into it I'd sell off everything we own and move yesterday. But her Mom is still living and she has a sister back home and her roots are deep. I'll just have to keep dreaming. | |

| My daughter and son in law took their camper and a week's leave from the AF and went to Moab Utah and rode the whole week. Said they were never onthe same trail twice and after an entire week they never scratched the surface of what is there. Wife and I drove down through there on the way down from Park City once. Area is just beyond beautiful. | |
