| Anybody removed the New rear spaces on the retrofitted rhinos ? i am thinking about taking mine off as the maxxis are throwing mud all over the place. i dont believe any aftermarket flares would work right now. Any difficulties removing them? | |

| Rob , pull the 2 inch spacers off. and replace with 1 inch spacers. then install mairs fender flairs. and you wont get covered any more.... This is the way Red was set up. and it worked great... | |

| I believe there will be a little issue about the wheel studs. When you take the 2" spacers off, you wont have any. Yamaha removes your wheel studs and the 2" spacers have them built into the spacer. They make it a pain in the ass to do away with them. | |

| chris , so i have to buy wheel spacers ? that bites ! marty i didnt think about it before hand, but your probably right. yammy might be gunshy and would not leave anything to chance by leaving the smaller ones on . hmmm wonder if i could modify some flares with a piece of hard plastic, like the trash cans, cut a "half moon" about so many inches wide, pop rivet it to the box frame and the fender flares? I absolutely got covered up, couldnt throw the gas to it coming out of the puddles. | |

| I pulled mine off shortly after they put them on. You just pull the wheels off then there is 4 nuts on the back side you remove them and remove the spacer then install 4 lug studs on each side. I still had my 8 old studs so I just put them back in. | |

| Corey, theres a bunch of us that made something like that, we used mud flaps and cut and trimmed them to fit. installed them using the bolts in the frame that hold the factory door to the frame. lot cheaper, maybe not as pretty, but functional | |

| I'm running the 2" Yamaha ones on the rear, and 1" spacers on the front, with the ITP steel wheels with 5+2 offset. I don't have any real problems with getting mud in the cab, running Maier fender flares and splashguards. A chunk occassionally off a front tire when turning, but I've never noticed anything coming in from the rear... Here's Windrock mud patterns: Here's Vermont mud patterns: I get more mud flying up in the bed than I do in the cab... and that's still not enough to really complain about. | |

Yeah, I eventually cut them where the bed separates.

Thats what they did to mine, Where we ride it is just to tight with the addition to the added 4inches so i took mine off. Just go back to the dealership an they will give you the studs back, at least mine did.

| ok i took one side off, the spacer has the wheel studs seated in them. i took a larger bolt and started the nut on it, then placed it covering the top of the stud in the 2" spacer. Took a hammer and popped it right out | |

So your saying the studs from the spacer work in the hub? I never thought about that. I just had the dealer put my old studs in the glove department when they installed the spacers.
